Today Fri. Apr. 23 is National Lost Dog and Cat Awareness Day.

The SPCA of Winchester, Frederick and Clarke Counties announced the launching of a Petco Love tool to help find lost pets.

A searchable national database is now available using facial recognition technology form Petco Love Lost.

The database is accessible today Apr. 23 to participating animal organizations nationwide.

Using uploaded photos which are immediately scanned to determine if the animal is at a participating shelter like SPCA of Winchester, Frederick and Clarke Counties or a neighbor’s home.
