WPD report a case of counterfeit currency

Merchants across the region need to be cautious when accepting cash for products.

The Winchester Police Department (WPD) reported a case of counterfeit currency being used at one of the Winchester Martins stores on January 27.

Merchants need to stay vigilant when it comes to accepting currency for products.

Anyone with information on  the January 27 incident is asked to contact the WPD at  540-662-4131 or use the p3tips app found here.

Tips leading to an arrest in the incident could result in a reward.
