Middletown and BRH host anniversary fireworks

christmas parade canceled

Tonight at 7pm, Middletown will set off a firework display to commemorate the town’s 225th anniversary and Blue Ridge Hospices 40th anniversary.

Middletown Community Park will host the display.

There are plenty of viewing opportunities throughout the town.

If you are able to watch from close to that area, that would be ideal, as the show is set to music.

You won’t want to miss this one as Middletown and Blue Ridge Hospice have come together to provide a display that will rival any Fourth of July show.

Middletown’s 11th annual car show

christmas parade canceled

Middletown will host the 11th annual car, truck, and tractor show Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm on Main Street.

This year’s event could have record numbers once again after last year’s show topped over 300 cars.

No preregistration is necessary and the categories include 1900-1980, 1980-present, and best tractor with prizes for each category.

License plates commemorating Middletown’s 225th anniversary will be available for purchase.

Proceeds from those sales and the car show go towards future Fourth of July celebrations for the town.
