HSWC’s 3rd Annual Polar Plunge
The Humane Society of Warren County is hosting their 3rd annual Polar Plunge at Lake Culpeper in the Front Royal 4H Center.
The fun and freezing will begin at 11 am.
Then participants will head inside to the Melt Down Party to warm up with soup and cocktails.
A local favorite, Rough Draught, will be returning this year to provide the tunes.
A minimum donation of $50 is required to participate but “Plungers” are encouraged to collect as much as possible to knock off the reigning champion.
Molly Llewlyn reached $1000 the last two years for the shelter.

HSWC interview and Polar Plunge
The Humane Society of Warren County held their second annual Polar Plunge event at the 4-H education center on Saturday.
The event was rescheduled due to the weather which gave the society more time for fund raising.
Again this year Molly Llewellyn was the top fundraiser netting $3,000.
Close to 30 plungers were able to raise almost $22,000.
The plunge helps with the care of shelter animals in Warren County.
We spoke with Humane Society Executive Director Meghan Bowers about the progress of the low cost spay and neuter clinic scheduled to open this year in Front Royal.
