FCSO chase a motorcyclist through Winchester
Frederick County Sheriff’s Office announced that Deputies took pursuit of a reckless motorcycle driver on July 4.
After observing reckless driving on Front Royal Pike near Papermill Road attempts to stop the driver were unsuccessful.
The driver of the bike was seen running red lights, weaving in and out of moving vehicles and driving down the middle of the road at high rates of speed.
The chase went eastbound on Route 50 until Deputies found the motorcycle crashed and unattended in the middle of the road near Arbor Court.
The male driver was found unresponsive and suffering physical trauma.
The driver was transported to Fairfax INOVA Trauma Center by helicopter.
Driving the 2022 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle was 44 year old Dennis Jack Chapman of Amissville Virginia.
Davis is reported to be in serious but stable condition and still under medical care.
The investigation is being conducted by the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office and the Virginia State Police crash reconstruction team.
Route 50 east was shut down for approximately 3 hours on July 4.
