I got your goat!  Actually, it’s a mountain goat called an Ibex.  I saw a picture recently of an ibex standing on a nearly vertical outcropping of rock.  I had to look closely to see exactly what it was because it blended in with it’s surroundings so well.  Once I found it, I could not believe where it was and how in the world it could stay there with what looked like mere inches of ledge to balance on.  Pretty impressive.  An ibex has large, curved horns with ridges at the front.  Ibex are found in Eurasia, North Africa, and East Africa.  Ibex is a general term used to describe several species of mountain goat.  Over hunting nearly lead to extinction in the 15th century as the ibex was an easy target that

was hunted for its meat and other body parts to be utilized for medicine. The ibex horns were highly sought after as a traditional remedy for impotence, while its blood was used for treating kidney stones.
