National public lands day hike
Potomac Appalachian Trail Club and Shenandoah National Park invite you to join for a hike in the park on September 23.
The Potomac Appalachian Trail Club (PATC), is a volunteer organization dedicated to maintaining the Appalachian Trail.
No registration is required.
Arrive at Big Meadows Lodge at 10:00 a.m. prepared to hike one of two options ranging from easy to moderate.
Plus, Saturday, September 23rd is a fee free day!

National public lands day is coming up!
Shenandoah National Park will celebrate the 30th anniversary of National Land Day on September 23rd.
National Public Lands Day is the nation’s largest, single-day volunteer effort for public lands.
Volunteers in the park will demonstrate this year’s nationwide theme of 30 Years of Care and Community through a service project near Big Meadows.
Entrance fees for the park will be waived on Saturday, September 23rd.
This year’s events will take place over three days, September 22-24 and registration is required.
