WPA installs new parking equipment

Beginning Sun. Apr. 25 the Winchester Parking authority will be installing new automated gate and payment equipment at all four parking garages.

The new equipment will provide a more convenient process for monthly users especially, they will be provided with a windshield pass allowing access.

New pay stations will offer walk up stations for cash and credit cards.

A new drive through pay station at the exit gates will accept card payments only.

Installation will cause some lane closures and access restrictions.

Beginning Sunday Apr. 25 the Braddock Autopark (BA) will be closed.

Mon. Apr. 26 the George Washington Autopark (GWA) will be closed on the Cameron Street side.

Then the Kent Street side of the GWA will close on Tue. Apr. 27.

Court Square Autopark (CSA) instillation begins on Wed. Apr. 28 on the Cameron Street Side.

The Kent Street side of the CSA will shutdown on Thur. Apr. 29.

Work on the Loudoun Autopark (LA) begins on the Fairfax Street side on Mon. May 3.

The Baker Street side of the LA will close on Tue. May 4.

Access to the Autoparks will be granted during installation to those with windshield tags or passes.
