News Maker Lisa Wilt on the Battle of the Badges

The annual Battle of the Badges Blood Drive is Friday July 14 from 10 until 5 with open appointments available.

We spoke with Red Cross Doner Recruiter Lisa Wilt about the event in our latest news maker.

News makers are sponsored by Warren County Together We are Community.

Lisa tells us that this friendly competition or battle is between Frederick County Fire and Rescue and Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (listed alphabetically).

The competitor who garners the most points wins the impressive trophy from the American Red Cross.

Lisa tells us how it works and how you can be a part of the battle.

She also tells us you can make the appointment to save lives here.

If the July 14 time isn’t convenient for you use your zip code here to set an appointment for a donation time and place that is better for you.

This time of year there is a critical need for donors to give blood.
