News Maker Rusty Holland on Concern Hotline’s Fish Fry

Labor Day Weekend begins with the 23rd annual Concern Hotline Friday Fish Fry at Frederick County Fairgrounds in Clear Brook.

The Concern Hotline’s Friday Fish Fry is the organizations biggest fundraiser.

We spoke with Concern Hotline’s Executive Director Rusty Holland about the event in our latest news maker.

Rusty tells us about this annual event’s fish dinner menu and the preparation.

He also tells us that the Fish Fry is just the start of a full three day weekend for the holiday.

News Maker Elise Stine-Dolinar on Project Connect

The United Way of the Northern Shenandoah Valley (UWNSV) will present Project Connect tomorrow June 3 at the Woodstock Moose Lodge 8 a.m. to 2 p.m..

Project Connect will have 50 different groups and organizations all under one roof.

Next Fri. June 10 another opportunity will be offered from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Winchester’s  Charlotte DeHart Elementary School.

We spoke with the UWNSV Senior Director of Advancement Elise Stine-Dolinar about the event in our latest news maker.

News Makers Linda Tyler and Shelly Lee from 2 For 2 Foundation

The 2 for 2 Foundation is attempting to build an indoor ice skating rink and pool facility in the region.

We spoke with 2 For 2 Foundation board member Linda Tyler and fundraising chairperson Shelly Lee in our latest news maker.

The good news is brought to you by The Town of Front Royal.

Linda tells us that the ice skating rink will have it’s own Zamboni and is of regulation size.

The pool will be of Olympic size.

Both will be available for all to use if it can become a reality.

Shelly tells about the first fundraiser Pot of Gold event set for Mar. 17 starting at 4 p.m..

The Pot of Gold event is the first of several fundraisers planned.

Other fundraiser will include attempts to break world records.
