Strasburg hosts Veteran’s Day parade
The Town of Strasburg and American Legion Post 77 are hosting a Veterans Day Parade today starting at 1 pm.
The parade will begin at the Legion and follow N. Holliday and east King Street before ending at the Strasburg Square.
At the Square, a short program will highlight the individual branches with assistance from the Strasburg High School band and Sherando High School’s National Honor Society.
Veterans and Classic Car owners participating in the parade will meet at the Legion at 12:30 pm.

Footin for Animals 5k and 10k
The 12th annual Footin for Animals 5k and 10k to support the Briggs Animal Adoption Center will get started today at 10 am.
Walk or run by yourself or bring your dog for the scenic trail through the Virginia State Arboretum at Blandy Farm.
If you don’t have a running companion, there will be dogs ready for adoption at the start line.
The Briggs Animal Adoption Center is a program of the National Humane Society.
They rely solely on donations and fundraisers like this to help place cats and dogs with families.
