FRPD makes arrest for solicitation of minors

The Front Royal Police Department conducted an investigation as a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force regarding the solicitation of minors in the area.

Officers concluded the investigation with the arrest of Sean Kreinsen, 28, of Smithfield.

An undercover operation began after Kreinsen contacted an officer posing as a female under 15 years old unsolicited and sent sexually explicit material.

Kreinsen was arrested by the Isle of Wight Sheriff’s Office and then transported to Western Tidewater Regional Jail where he is held without bond.

His court date is set for October 13th at the Warren County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.

FRPD makes arrest for child pornography

An 8 month investigation came to an end when Front Royal Police arrested and charged Richard E. Jones Jr with 20 felony counts of Possession of Child Pornography.

In October, officers executed a search warrant on a residence on Accomac Drive and seized electronic devices.

After completing and extraction on the devices, over 400 images were discovered.

The 41 year old man is being held without bond at the RSW Regional Jail.

His court date is set for July 28th in the Warren County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.

Shots fired into Winchester residence

The Winchester Police Department responded to a shots fired report yesterday afternoon.

Witnesses identified Christopher Bee, 38, to the officers on scene for firing shots in the air and into an occupied home on Kent Street.

Officers were led to his residence where he was taken into custody.

Bee was then transported to the Northwest Regional Adult Detention Center where he is held without bond.

He is charged with attempted murder, shooting into an occupied dwelling, and possessing a firearm as a felon.

Winchester man arrested for attempted murder

On October 8th at about 9 am, the Winchester Police received multiple calls as witnesses watched Ernesto Newman assault his girlfriend on East Pall Mall street.

According to witnesses, Newman pulled the woman from her vehicle, pushed her down, bashed her head on the ground and strangled her while yelling threats on her life.

Newman then held the victim at knife point until releasing her once WPD arrived at the location.

Newman handed himself over after the officers arrived.

He is being held without bond on charges of attempted murder, felony domestic assault and felony strangulation.
