PCSO reports the arrest of a person possessing child pornography

The Page County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) reports receiving a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

The tip indicted that imagines or videos that contain child pornography were either downloaded or uploaded by someone in Page County. 

Further investigation revealed the identity of the residence through the Internet Parodical address.

After a search warrant was secured a physical address search was conducted on September 28.

David C. Smith of Stanley was arrested after being found in possession of such materials and is being held without bond currently.

In 2019 Smith was convicted for similar offenses and is currently on probation.

This would be a subsequent charge of possession of child pornography for Smith.

Smith is registered with Virginia State Police as a sex offender.

The PCSO is a member of the Northern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

FRPD undercover operation helps arrest a suspect

Front Royal Police Department (FRPD) announced the arrest of a suspect involved in the solicitation of a minor.

Front Royal Police Detectives initiated the investigation regarding the solicitation in Warren County Front Royal in April.

The effort was an approach to apprehend individuals soliciting underage victims for sexual purposes.

During the operation an adult male began soliciting a detective who he believed to be a female under the age of 15 for photographs and sexually explicit material.

The suspect would also send the detective unsolicited adult materials as well.

Police were able to identify the suspect as a 28 year old Smithfield resident named Sean Kreinsen.

On Friday Kreinsen was arrested and is now held without bond with a court date of Oct. 13 in Warren County.

Front Royal Police Department is an active member of the Northern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force in coordination with the Virginia State Police.
