Teal Pumpkin Event

Bowman Public Library in Stephens City is hosting a Teal Pumpkin Event on October 31st from 10 am to 8 pm.

A Teal Pumpkin event is especially designed for children with food allergies.

Enjoy items and treats that are safe for everyone, a Halloween themed craft and story time by Megan at 4:30.

Wear your costume and help celebrate this extravaganza.

Front Royal issues Trick or Treating safety reminders

The Town of Front Royal issued a notice regarding the observation of Halloween Trick or Treating.

The Town will observe Trick or Treating on Halloween, Tuesday October 31st beginning at 6:30 pm and ending at 9 pm.

Parents are encouraged to accompany their children during the festivities and to increase visibility by carrying flashlights or wearing reflective clothing.

Trick or Treaters should only approach houses with their porch lights on and be off the streets by 9 pm.

Motorists are advised to use caution and visibility may be limited due to early forecasts calling for precipitation.

The notice also points out that the Spooky Saturday celebration planned for October 28th is a separate event and does not replace Halloween.

Trick or Treating guidelines for Winchester and Strasburg

The City of Winchester government reminds residents on their social media page that they do not regulate trick or treating activities.

The activities are left up to the individual neighborhoods and families in Winchester.

The Winchester government just ask that you be safe during the activities.

The town of Strasburg also has no ordinance for trick or treating.

According to their social media page participants of any age are invited to trick or treat.

The post states that most Strasburg families will trick or treat Halloween night Oct. 31.

The town of Strasburg does suggest the hours of 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. are best for trick or treating for visibility and safety concerns.

If residents do not wish to participate the town recommends keeping your porch light off that night.
