The 4 annual sunflower festival to benefit Page Alliance for Community Action (PACA) is set for September 2.

We spoke with PACA’s Program Director Megan Gordon about it in our latest news maker.

Sunflower Festival returns to Luray

The 3rd Annual Page Valley Sunflower Festival is tomorrow from 10 am to 4 pm at Ralph H. Dean Recreation Park.

The event is part of a partnership between the Page Alliance for Community Action, the Town of Luray, Luray Downtown Initiative, Page County Farmers Association and Page Valley Art Council.

The 1k fun run through the sunflower fields begins at 10 am then enjoy the rest of the day of fun which will include hayrides to the sunflower fields, a petting zoo, live music, and specials throughout downtown Luray.

PACA Polar Bear Plunge

The Page Alliance for Community Action is doing their Polar Bear Plunge at Lake Arrowhead

Saturday February 19th. There are 3 ways to plunge in person, virtually, and you can also choose the

one to plunge. Ages 11 and up may register and teams are required to have at least 5 members with a

team discount. Prizes will be awarded for best costume and the best virtual plunge submission.

Outdoor Movie Night in Luray

The Town of Luray’s Parks and Recreation Department is teaming up with the Paige Alliance for Community Action, Luray Little League, and Andy Caviness of Farm Bureau Insurance to bring a free outdoor movie night to Ralph H Dean Recreation Park.

The movie being screened is the Field of Dreams and will start at 8:30 pm.

Free popcorn is provided by PACA and the first 30 children ages 2-7 will receive a free book.

Remember to bring your own lawn chair or blanket.
