Fun Fact December 7, 2021.

Tool time Tuesday and today we one up the Swiss Army knife.  I have been carrying one of these on my belt for about 20 years, yes the same one.  It’s a Leatherman multipurpose tool.  While on a budget trip to Europe in 1975, Tim Leatherman and his wife constantly came across leaky hotel plumbing and road-side fixes for their Fiat. Tim realized the need for a pliers-based multipurpose tool. “I was carrying a scout knife and used it for everything from slicing bread to fixing the car. But I kept wishing I had a pair of pliers!”  When Tim came back to the states, he took his “multi-tool” idea and some sketches he made on the trip, and got to work.  From Tim’s first prototype to the latest multi-tool innovation, the Leatherman company has been building tools in Portland, Oregon.  I use mine everyday for something.  Listen to the podcast here;
