The West Virginia State Police sent a memorandum to all inspection stations in the state regarding changes to inspection stickers.

Motor Vehicle Inspection stickers will now be valid for 2 years.

The price for a sticker has increased to $6.00 with the inspection cost of $19.78.

Modified stickers will now be $10 with inspection costs of $25.90.

The inspection procedures will remain the same but modified vehicles will no longer require fender flares and there is no regulation on how far tires can stick out past the fenders.

The West Virginia Traffic Records Section will begin accepting requisitions for the new issue inspection stickers on Monday, November 27, 2023.

The new olive green stickers cannot be affixed before January 1, 2024 and will expire in 2026.

The current purple stickers will be obsolete after December 31, 2023.
