$27 million for affordable and special needs housing
Governor Glenn Youngkin announced over $27 million in funding for 34 projects to provide affordable and special needs housing.
These projects will combine to create and preserve 1,990 units for low income and extremely low income households.
The funding will not only help moderate and low income families but also support unhoused populations by providing resources for rapid re-housing and long term solutions.
The process for Affordable and Special Needs Housing loans is highly competitive with 61 applications received requesting $73 million in funding.
