REC resumes normal billing cycle that could include disconnection of service

Rappahannock Electric Cooperative (REC) will begin a normal billing and payment process starting Sept. 1.

Nearly 5,000 cooperative members are currently behind on their bills.

Cooperative members who have fallen behind need to call REC’s member services at 800-552-3904 to set up a payment plan.

Those with outstanding bills could see a disconnection of service.

Contact your local department of social services to see if you qualify for continued assistance when it comes to payments.

REC is offering more information about disconnection and other services at myrec.coop.
