Tomorrow, November 10th, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm the 7th Annual Blood Drive Honoring Our Veterans will be held at West Oaks Farm Market in Winchester.

The Red Cross has continued to report the urgent need for blood as supplies have dwindled.

To thank donors and create some holiday cheer, the movie The Elf and Red Cross have teamed up to give away officially licensed socks to donors beginning tomorrow through November 30th.

At the Honoring Our Veterans blood drive, donors and veterans will receive a sausage breakfast or burger lunch as well.

Make an appointment at RedCrossBlood.org and search vetdrive23.

Walk-ins are welcome, as well.

Remember to prepare before donating by getting a good night’s sleep, eating a healthy meal with iron rich foods, and hydrating with an extra glass of water.

The current supply could be used with one accident victim.

Shenandoah Valley Red Cross officials are asking that even if you can’t give today sign up for a future drive so officials know a supply is coming.

You can sign up for a blood drive by using your zip code to find a drive near you at redcrossblood.org.
