Am. Red Cross is asking for donations as they are in emergency shortage
The American Red Cross is reporting an emergency blood shortage with only a half day supply currently available.
Normally the Red Cross would like to have at least a five day supply available.
The current supply could be used with one accident victim.
Shenandoah Valley Red Cross officials are asking that even if you can’t give today sign up for a future drive so officials know a supply is coming.
You can sign up for a blood drive by using your zip code to find a drive near you at redcrossblood.org.
