The Virginia board of elections reminds voters the deadline to register for the Nov. 2 election is Oct. 12.

You can register to vote or update information by mail if postmarked by Tues. Oct. 12.

You can also register in person and update your information and apply for an absentee ballot at your local voter registration office.

Keep in mind this is the day after Columbus/Indigenous People’s Day so many offices including many post offices will be closed Mon. Oct. 11.

These services are also available online including previewing the ballot or applying for an absentee ballot at vote.elections.virginia.gov.
