VA. Legislators ask for the elimination of daylight savings time

According to the Virginia Legislative Information System a resolution has been introduced to eliminate daylight savings time in Virginia.

Virginia Legislators are asking for the review of the effects of twice yearly clock changing practices.

If adopted the resolution will ask the Secretary of Commerce and Trade to investigate the effects of the clock change.

The resolution is requesting a study to be conducted to see how the twice yearly change is affecting Virginians.

Some would suggest that the change causes an increased number of traffic accidents, heart attacks and seasonal disorders.

Legislators would like to see if using standard time all year round is feasible.

Before the resolution for the study can move on to the secretary it must be adopted by both houses of the Virginia General Assembly.
