Hope Drive project opens in Winchester

The City of Winchester has announced on their website the opening of the new section of Hope Drive.

There will be a ribbon cutting that is open to the public at 11 a.m. on Wed. June 1 at the intersection of Hope Drive and Wilson Boulevard.

Hope Drive will serve as a connector between Valley Avenue and Pleasant Valley Road.

The $8.3 million project began in January 2021 extending Hope Drive and realigning Papermill Road.

The project also included improvements of the storm water infrastructure along with the repaving of parts of  Papermill Road.

Bowman Library holds a ribbon cutting

Stephen City’s Bowman Library will hold a ribbon cutting from 11 to noon tomorrow Jul. 14.

Tours and history of the library will be available after the ribbon cutting.

This Saturday Jul. 17 a 20 anniversary celebration will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m..

That celebration has something for the entire family including tours and refreshments.

Saturday’s celebration also includes live music in which you can participate so bring your instrument.
