Starting today Feb. 8, 2021 Court Street in Woodstock will be closed to through traffic.

The closure will be between Commerce and Lee Streets for infrastructure upgrades.

Some of the work to be done is listed here:

•Sewer pipe is being converted from terra-cotta to ductile iron.

•Fire safety upgrades include a new 8” water line and fire hydrants.

•Upgrading the 4” water line to an 8” will allow future water connections along Court Street and better east-west flow in this corridor.

•New storm water inlets and piping to better direct runoff towards the storm water pond, thereby reducing potential flooding downtown.

The work is subject to weather anticipating a total of 3 weeks to complete.

The roads will be open to residents of those areas affected.
