New origami exhibit opens at MSV
The Museum of the Shenandoah Valley has a new exhibit.
Today at 10 am is the grand opening of OrigamiintheGarden.
The exhibit will remain open through November 13th, 2022.
Artist Kevin Box takes origami to another level with his metal sculptures.
He has pioneered his own processes and works closely with foundries, fabrication shops, and studio staff.
This exhibit created by Kevin and Jennifer Box features their original masterpieces as well as collaborations with renowned origami artists Robert J. Lang, Te Jui Fuu, Beth Johnson, and Michael G. LaFosse.
The works will be placed around the botanical gardens to draw a connection between the paper for origami coming from plants.
