VDOT installs a camera to monitor Warren Co. Fairgrounds Rd.

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) installed a camera on Warren County’s Fairgrounds Road to monitor traffic flow.

The cameras will help travelers monitor the flow of traffic while work continues on Rockland Road.

Rockland Road has been closed since Monday April 22 for bridge construction over the train tracks.

Travelers are advised to use VA511 and zoom in to the camera marked SR 661 before taking the road to see if alternate routes need to be taken due to train and traffic conditions.

Rockland Road is projected to be closed for up to 2 years with a reopening expected  December 2025.

VDOT announces Rockland Rd. is closed to through traffic for repairs

Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) announced the closure of Rockland Rd. for the next couple of days.

Repairs are being made to the railroad crossing before Virginia Hills Church.

The repairs will take a number days to complete and is subject to weather conditions.

It is advised that you use Fairgrounds Rd. until repairs are complete.
