SVEC funds help 11 organizations
An email from Shenandoah Electric Cooperative (SVEC) announced that eleven organizations benefited form operation round up funds.
The email from the Cooperative’s Events and Communications Manager Preston Knight announced the following agencies benefited from the grants.
In Frederick County grants were awarded to Henry and Williams Home for Children, Literacy Volunteers, Timber Ridge School, Wheels for Wellness and Winchester Thermal Shelter.
Grants were also awarded to Arise and Page Alliance for Community Action in Page County.
Shenandoah alliance for Shelter in Shenandoah County received support as well.
Grants were also awarded to Brain Injury Connections of the Shenandoah Valley in Rockingham County and Renewing Homes of Greater Augusta in Augusta County.
Funds are raised by SVEC member owners rounding their bills up to the next dollar.
In all almost $24,000 was raised by the Cooperative’s members generosity.
