News Makers Lizi and Michael on Festival of Leaves

The 51st annual Festival of Leaves is shaping up to be the biggest and best festival yet.

We spoke to Front Royal Community Development and Tourism Manager Lizi Lewis and “Community Guy” Michael Whitlow about the event in our latest news maker.

The pair tell us that once again this year the festival kicks off October 13 with the Friday night Dancing Downtown party with Cazhmiere at 7 p.m.

Lizi tells us that the local premier of Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour movie will be at Royal Cinemas after Dancing Downtown.

Michael tells us of some of the new things that are scheduled for Saturday October 14.

Front Royal’s Christmas Fest and Parade

Front Royal’s Christmas Fest and 72nd Annual Parade gets started at noon today at the Gazebo.

The parade will follow shortly, kicking off at 4 pm.

Start off your day at the pancake breakfast at WCHS then head on downtown.

Live Christmas music at the Gazebo will play from noon to 1:30 pm.

Other events starting at noon include: Habitat for Humanities silent auction at the Virginia Beer Museum, the Winter Bazaar at Love Revival Ministry, and the winter festival at Able Forces.

Royal Cinemas will have a free classic Christmas movie showing at 1 pm before you head over to the parade.
