Christendom earns reaffirmation of accreditation

Christendom College earned reaffirmation of its accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.

The reaffirmation of accreditation took several years of preparation and will last the next ten years.

Accreditation allows employers and other schools to be confident in the quality of Christendom coursework and that their degrees have met or exceeded standards established by peer institutions.

The accreditation process assures that the institution offers a basic standard of education and service to their students.

The college first received accreditation in 1987.

The SACSCOC requires a full reassessment every ten years and the school began preparing for the review immediately following the last five year check up.

The Commission reviews all aspects of an educational institution with approximately 80 standards total and an expectation that the college or university will govern itself and remain faithful to its published mission.
