WPD arrest 2 in domestic situation that included an injury

The Winchester Police Department (WPD) report responding to a stabbing at approximately 1 p.m. August 1.

As officers arrived at the home in the 400 block of South Cameron Street, they found a male lying on the ground suffering from a stab wound to the lower abdomen.

The woman who is accused of stabbing him ran upstairs to the second floor of the building.

Officers attempted to negotiate her surrender from the stairwell but could not make contact.

Winchester SWAT and negotiation teams were called in to assist.

A search of the house was conducted and 34-year-old Samantha Myers was found in a bedroom and taken into custody at approximately 1:45.

During the investigation 37-year-old Barron Gordon was also in the house and found to be wanted in Warren County and arrested.

A search warrant was secured and executed to find a substance believed to be crack-cocaine and a semi-automatic pistol.

A knife that may have been used in the stabbing was also recovered.

Myers is facing charges of domestic assault and battery, malicious wounding and possession of cocaine.

Myers is being held without bond at the Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center.

The victim was transported to Winchester Medical Center where he remains in serious but stable condition at this time.
