The Narrow Passage Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) of Woodstock are laying wreaths on veteran grave sites Sat. Dec. 18.
This is part of the Wreaths Across America Day Sat. Dec. 18 this year, to honor our fallen heroes.
There are wreath laying ceremonies around the Shenandoah Valley that day as well as at Arlington National Cemetery.
At the Wreaths Across America website you can find a ceremony near you.
We spoke with Cindy Moody of the Narrow Passage DAR about the Shenandoah County plans in our latest news maker.
The good news is brought to you by The Town of Front Royal.
Cindy tells us of the number of wreaths that will be laid.
Cindy also tells us about two locations in Shenandoah County that wreaths will be laid.
The ceremony starts at noon on Sat. Dec. 18.
Cindy invites everyone to join in the ceremony and perhaps volunteer to lay a wreath.
