During the closed session of the Front Royal Warren County Economic Development Authority (EDA) regular meeting.

The board approved the disposition of the historic McKay Springs property.

To facilitate and expedite the sale the board calls for the transfer of the deed of the McKay Springs parcels to Warren County.

During the open session, the board and public were reminded that Warren County will join Clarke and Frederick Counties along with the City of Winchester in a  Spotted Lanternfly quarantine.

The quarantine will impact businesses located in and doing business with Warren County.

The Virginia Department of Agriculture (VDA) has more on the Lanternfly at their website.

It was also reported the money from the sale of the Afton Inn paid down the principal on the First Bank and Trust Line of Credit.

The monies lowers the payment which saves taxpayers $1,242.70 per month or $14,912.40 per year.
