Shenandoah University (SU) will host the first ever fall festival fireworks show at 8 p.m. Saturday Sept. 18.

The University is celebrating the broader community and offering the display as a way of honoring and thanking the community in helping the institution achieve it’s recent successes.

The school hopes to make the display an annual event each mid Sept.

SU is asking that the display be viewed from the convenient public parking around the campus.

Areas like Jim Barnett Park closer to Wilkins Lake will offer some of the best viewing.

Should it rain the fireworks show will be moved to Sunday Sept. 19.
