Winchester man accused of embezzling $1 million

Social post from the Harrisonburg Police Department announced that Andrew Hahn of Winchester was arrested for embezzling close to $1 million from the Harrisonburg-Rockingham County Services Board.

The suspect served as the Information Technology manager for the board.

He is accused of embezzling a substantial amount of money between 2019-2021.

Hahn allegedly created a shell company which he would apply for proposals with to the Services Board and then grant his own shell company the money for the proposal.

Detectives seized digital evidence and two vehicles believed to be purchased with the embezzled money.

Harrisonburg Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit and Winchester Police performed the warrants on January 5th.
