News Maker Coleman Bradfield on a toy show for charity

Masonic Hunter Lodge 135 of Edinburg will present a toy show tomorrow Oct. 9 at Shenandoah County Fairgrounds.

The show and sale will benefit several charities of Shenandoah County.

We spoke to coordinator Coleman Bradfield about the vintage toy show in our latest News Maker Segment.

The good news is brought to you by the town of Front Royal.

Coleman told us when and where the event will be held rain or shine as it will be inside at the fairgrounds.

Coleman also talked about the origin of the show and the classic toys that will be on hand.

10th annual Shenandoah Autumnfest

The Shenandoah Autumnfest is bringing BBQ, bands, brews and much more to the Shenandoah County fairgrounds today from 11 am to 5 pm.

Craft beer tastings and wine and spirits will be available all day.

Harness racing will get started at 1 pm and this year will feature the largest purse in the history of the event with over $680,000 up for grabs in the 2 and 3 year old finales.

One of the most exciting events of the day is the wood splitting contest which will start at 1:30 pm.

When you get hungry, there will be a Flippin Chicken cook-off and whole hog bbq demos and samples.

Live music provided by Cazhmiere will start at noon.

Southern Rock in Woodstock is a full day at Shenandoah County Fairgrounds Saturday.

The event benefits the Homeless Warriors Charity of Maryland.

There are limited number of tickets available at Virginia Southern Rock Woodstock.

We spoke with promoter Clarke Chambers about the event.

LFHD opens more COVID-19 vaccination clinics

The Lord Fairfax Health District and community partners are offering several opportunities for COVID-19 vaccinations.

Tomorrow May 11 at Frederick Douglass Park in Winchester from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m..

Wed. May 12 at 15 Street gymnasium Front Royal from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m..

Thur. May 13 at Shenandoah County Fairgrounds Woodstock from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m..

These clinics are for the Moderna vaccine for first or second shots.

If you need the second dose you need to bring your vaccination card.

Walk ins are accepted at many clinics but appointments can assure availability.

Shenandoah County Fairgrounds opens another vaccination clinic

Shenandoah County Fairgrounds will host another first dose drive thru vaccination clinic on May 13 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m..

This is for Shenandoah County residents with appointments required.

Appointments can be made by calling (540) 459-3733 or click here when the date draws closer.

The second dose is secured for June 10.

This is a Moderna vaccine first dose clinic.

The clinic is Thur. Apr. 29 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Shenandoah County Fairgrounds in Woodstock.
