The Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) reports in a social media post that they received a call about a device with a fuse.

The device was reported around 10:30 Sunday morning Nov. 14 in the Cave Springs Ln. area of Edinburg.

After SCSO deputies investigated the Virginia State Police (VSP) bomb unit was called to the scene.

At Approximately 12:45 that afternoon the VSP bomb unit was able to render the device safe.

There are no public safety concerns and the investigation continues according to the post.
