WCFR rescue a paraglider
Warren County Fire and Rescue (WCFR) assisted Shenandoah National Park Police rescue a paraglider yesterday.
The WCFR released information of a paraglider becoming stuck in a tree near the 5 mile marker on the Skyline Drive.
The unidentified male was suspended approximately 30 feet in the air.
The paraglider launched from Dickie ridge and intended to land at Skyline High School.
The man who managed to free himself from the glider and move to a limb was uninjured.
Crews used a ladder truck to assist him down which closed the drive for approximately 45 minutes.
