Chamber of Commerce prepares for Greater Good Awards

The Top of Virginia Regional Chamber of Commerce is preparing for the annual Greater Good Awards which will take place on Thursday, March 7th at the Shenandoah Valley Golf Club in Front Royal from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm.

The semi-formal celebration will host over 300 guests to recognize business leaders from the area with the purpose of celebrating “outstanding individuals and businesses for the contributions they make to the quality of life and economic stability of our region through genuine community commitment, dedication to excellence, and ethical and creative business practices.”

Award categories include:

  • Small Business of the Year
  • Entrepreneur of the Year
  • Non-Profit of the Year
  • CTE Teacher of the Year
  • Citizen of the Year
  • Emerging Leader Award
  • Lifetime Community Impact Award

The event will also include dinner, a cash bar, and opportunities to support the Chamber Foundation’s scholarship fund for local youth.

SHS Marching Band hosts inaugural Charity Golf Tournament and Live Music Event

The Sherando High School Marching Band is hosting their inaugural Charity Golf Tournament and Live Music Event at the Shenandoah Valley Golf Club on Friday, May 24, 2024.

The golf tournament will begin with a shotgun start at noon and include closest to the pin, hole-in-one, and longest drive competitions.

After golf, Crosswinds will provide live music from 7 pm – 9 pm with light food and a cash bar.

Early bird registration is now available for golf or music only tickets until March 31st.

Sherando Band Boosters President Adam Stein said, “I look forward to reaching out within our community to host our inaugural Charity Golf Tournament and Live Music Event…The funds raised will play a pivotal role in nurturing the talents and providing essential resources for our student musicians and color guard members.”
