Public transportation is coming to Shenandoah County

Public transportation is coming to Shenandoah County.

The Shenandoah office of Economic and Community Development along with local governments of New Market, Woodstock, Toms Brook and Strasburg will bring transit service to the region.

The service begins October 4 with a ribbon cutting at the Shenandoah County Government Center Oct. 1 at 2 p.m..

ShenGo Transit will bring reliable bus service to the citizens of Shenandoah County for work, medical appointments and shopping.

The buses will travel along the Rt. 11 corridor 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
