The annual “Battle of the Badges” Blood Drive took place this past Friday (7-24) at the Frederick County Public Safety Building, and we had an upset, as Fire and Rescue edged Law Enforcement 34-30, taking the trophy that had long been held by Sheriff Lenny Millholand and his team. Donors were asked to vote for either Fire & Rescue or Law Enforcement with their blood donations, but the real winners were the potential recipients of life saving blood.
