FCSO arrest a suspect in a Frederick County fatal shooting
The Frederick County Sheriff Office (FCSO) announced the arrest in a shooting death on Whitlock Lane in Frederick County.
At approximately 5:30 p.m. Sept. 15 authorities received and responded to a report of someone being shot following an argument.
Both law enforcement and emergency medical crews were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival deputies located the subject later identified as Jeffrey Behneke Jr. lying near the residence with an apparent gunshot wound to the chest.
The victim had no pulse and was pronounced deceased by EMS personnel at the scene.
Thorsten Schulze who lives at the residence was detained at the scene.
During the investigation it was determined that Schulze and Behneke got into an argument that escalated to gunfire and the shooting of Behneke.
Schulze has been preliminarily charged with second degree murder and is being held in the Adult Detention facility.
The investigation into the incident continues with no other details available at this time.

FCSO investigate a shooting in Frederick County
In an email from Lieutenant Warren Goznell of the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) officials have identified a murder victim in a homicide.
On Thurs. Dec. 30 FCSO deputies responded to a shooting death in the 100 block of Dick’s Hollow Road.
The victim has now been identified as 32 year old Walter Ray Long Jr. of Valley Mill Road.
Homeowner Gerald Marple has been charged with being a felon in possession of a fire arm in the incident.
Marple could be facing more charges in the investigation.
Marple shot Long once after what appeared to be an altercation and assault.
42 year old Jeffery Brian Smith has also been arrested in relation to the assault on Marple.
