Valley Health sells Lynn Care Center and former WMH

covid-19 vaccine arrival

An email from Valley Health (VH) announced the former Warren Memorial Hospital (WMH) and adjacent Lynn Care Center (LCC) have been sold.

VH is expected to close the transaction with Hill Valley Healthcare (HVH) Jan. 31, 2022.

After that date the operation of LCC and redevelopment of the former WMH will be under HVH’s leadership.

The new owners HVH specialize in skilled nursing, rehabilitation and long term care and already own facilities in Luray, Warrenton and Winchester.

The email went on to read that the strategic realignment follows an extensive analysis.

The analysis identifies a growing need for comprehensive skilled nursing, rehabilitation and long term care for a growing senior population in Warren County.

VH’s President and CEO Mark Nantz went on to say in the email that when the new hospital opened in June the goal was to repurpose the old hospital in a manner consistent with the mission of serving the community.

Nantz added that HVH’s people first philosophy and culture aligns closely with VH’s own philosophy.

Nantz assures that HVH will be actively engaged community partners.
