BRH and Washington Commanders support teens

Blue Ridge Hospice (BRH) reports  through a partnership with the Washington Commanders they were able to provide a concert experience for teens and young adults who have recently lost loved ones.

Ten people in all were able to attend a private experience in the skybox of Fed Ex Field to enjoy Beyonce’s concert Saturday August 5.

BRH’s Children and Families Grief Support Coordinator Christina Thomas noted that it is important that these young people know it’s okay to feel joy again after a loss.

Calling the experience an important part of processing grief and allowing for moments of joy and celebration after a loss.
