Cat Yoga at the SPCA

The Winchester Area SPCA is hosting Cat Yoga today from 12:30 pm- 1:30 pm at their location on Featherbed Lane.

Hannah Lewis, who received her training at Shine Yoga in Winchester, will lead the class which is suitable for all skill levels.

This is a great way to unwind and uplift yourself while also meeting some adoptable cats and kittens from the SPCA.

Three sessions will be open to the public including February 11th, February 18th, and February 25th.

No registration is required and donations are encouraged which will benefit the SPCA.

WSPCA receives a sizable grant

The Winchester Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) will receive a $30,000 grant investment.

A news release from the Winchester SPCA confirms the grant is from the National nonprofit Petco Love.

The grant presentation will take place  at the Winchester Petco on S. Pleasant Valley Road June 23 at 2 p.m..

The grant is in support of the lifesaving work for animals in Winchester and throughout the  commonwealth by the Winchester SPCA.

Petco Love President Susanne Kogut said in the news release that the investment is a chance to empower  local organizations.

The Winchester SPCA is commended for creating a future in which no pet is unnecessarily euthanized.
