Tool time Tuesday and today we’re nailing it.  During my vacation I built a shelf for our pantry.  As with a lot of my building projects, I used pallet wood.  It takes a bit longer because you have to plane and sand the boards, but it’s worth it.  One tool I used was my pneumatic brad nail gun.  According to JLC online dot com, the first pneumatic nailer is credited engineer to Morris Pynoos in 1944.  Pynoos developed the nailer for Howard Hughes as a means for assembling wooden parts of the “Spruce Goose” aircraft.  I haven’t used mine to built a airplane, at least not yet.  You think two inch, 18 gauge nails will hold a wing on?
