Stolen Firetruck from Fairfax County is found in Page County

A number of sources including the Page Valley News are reporting that a firetruck was stolen from Prince William County and recovered in Page County.

The Fairfax County firetruck was in a shop in Prince William County and stolen around 1 a.m. Mon. morning Nov. 8.

The firetruck was found in Luray off of Stoney Brook Rd. less then 12 hours after the theft.

Twenty two year old Nolan Cornell of Spotsylvania County has been charged by Prince William County Police with grand larceny along with felony destruction of property.

Luray Police have also charged Cornell with possession of stolen property.

Luray Police report they went to the location of the truck after receiving calls that it was left in the woods.

Cornell was arrested after he returned to the location and was identified by a witness.

The truck has been returned to Fairfax County while Cornell remains in the Page County jail without bond.
