Strasburg Police investigate an assault and robbery

Strasburg Police are investigating an assault and robbery at the Strasburg Visitor’ s Center.

An email from Strasburg Police Chief Wayne Sager confirms that an assault and robbery occurred at the Visitor’s Center at 33229 Old Valley Pike Mon. May 9 around 4:30 p.m..

Strasburg Police arrived shortly after the report but not before the suspect fled in an unknown direction.

A female employee with the Town of Strasburg was assaulted by the suspect and was treated at the scene.

The employee was able to give a description of her assailant.

She described him as a white male 5 feet 7 or 8 inches tall.

He was wearing a gray shirt and pants with combed back gray hair.

He was believed to be in his late 50’s or early 60’s.

Strasburg Police believe it was an isolated incident with no further threat to the community according to the email.
