Warren County supervisors call special meeting

The Chairperson of the Warren County Board of Supervisors has officially called for a special meeting.

The meeting is set for 6 p.m. April 9 at the Warren County Government Center at 220 North Commerce Avenue Front Royal.

The meeting is called to include a public hearing on the Fiscal Year 2024-25 tax rate and adoption of Resolution to Set Percentage of tax relief for personal property or motor vehicles for the 2024 tax year.

Winchester offers tax relief with an Apr. 1 deadline

Tax relief is available for Winchester residents 65 years of age or older or are permanently disabled.

The just released CitE-news from Winchester reminds those who wish to or are able to take advantage need to do so by tomorrow Apr. 1.

Contact the Winchester Commissioner of the Revenue’s Office at (540) 667-1815 use option 4 to find out more and see if you are eligible and meet the requirements.

An eligible person needs to obtain, complete and submit an application by tomorrow Apr. 1.

City of Winchester expands real estate tax relief

The weekly Winchester CitE-News letter announced the City has expanded the real estate tax relief program.

The net financial worth, household income and maximum tax relief limits have increased for those who need it most.

Applications must be submitted by April 1 each year for those 65 and over unless permanently disabled.
