News Maker Tom Eshelman on Friends of the NRA fundraiser

Friends of the National Rifle Association (FNRA) will hold a fundraiser this Saturday Mar. 5 at the Shenandoah Valley Golf Club Front Royal.

The fundraiser is for gun safety courses for youth as well as self defense courses for women.

We spoke to Tom Eshelman a representative for the FNRA in our latest news maker segment.

News Maker Bill Long on tonight’s 11/2 vigil for Zander Ward

A community vigil will be held tonight at 6 in honor of Zander Ward at the Front Royal Gazebo.

We spoke to Zander’s uncle Bill Long about the memorial in our latest news maker segment in an attempt to bring awareness to depression and the alternatives that are available.

Bill talks of the vigil and how suicide is not the answer with the help that’s available.

Bill and Zander’s employer William Huck of C and C Frozen Treats will be at the Gazebo to greet the community members who helped with the search.

If you too suffer from depression please talk to a trusted family member, friend or mentor before contemplating doing anything drastic.

When you are as young as Zander at 18 problems might seem like the end of the world but nothing could be further from the truth and there are professionals that can help.

The Out of the Darkness Stephens City Walk is designed to bring awareness to Suicide prevention.

We spoke with one of the coordinators of the walk Winter Brooks in our latest News Maker segment.
