Winchester Police Officer Morgan Kiley received the Silver Medal of Valor at the Winchester Police Department’s (WPD) annual awards ceremony.

Kiley won the honor for an incident involving a male with a machete.

The Silver Medal of Valor Award goes to an officer who is involved in acts of significant personal risk and bravery.

Kiley was also nominated by her peers and won  Officer of the Year honors as well.

Other WPD officers were honored and recognized at the ceremony as well.

The WPD made the announcement yesterday.
